We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Driver/Safety Trainer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about promoting safety on the roads and will have a strong background in defensive driving techniques and public transportation. The primary responsibility of this role will be to train and educate our drivers on safe driving practices, customer service standards, and public transportation regulations through training and orientation classes.
**Responsibilities:**
- Conduct training and orientation sessions for new and existing drivers on defensive driving techniques, customer service best practices, and public transportation policies.
- Develop and implement training materials, including presentations, videos, and hands-on demonstrations.
- Provide feedback and coaching to drivers to improve their driving skills and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Driver retention: Monitor driver performance and conduct periodic evaluations to identify areas for improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, regulations, and best practices in driver training and safety.
- Collaborate with management to develop and implement safety initiatives and programs.
- Assist with accident investigations and develop strategies to prevent future incidents.
**Preferred Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a driver trainer or safety instructor, preferably in the transportation industry.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage and motivate others.
- Strong public speaking skills and the ability to deliver engaging and informative training sessions.
- In-depth knowledge of defensive driving techniques and traffic laws.
- Familiarity with public transportation regulations and policies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
**Must Have**
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
